Privacy Policy
Last updated July 16, 2026
NestScout is operated by DevStudyo (“NestScout,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your choices. Questions: privacy@nestscout.io.
Information we collect
You provide: account details (email, name, and — if you use Google/Apple sign-in — the basic profile they return); your home profile (address, ZIP, year built, type, appliances, warranties, closing date); photos, documents, and voice you submit for a diagnosis or record; utility-bill amounts and usage; community posts, comments, and your chosen display name; messages with service professionals; and any support requests.
Collected automatically: in-app usage/analytics events; a push-notification token and basic device info to deliver notifications; and approximate location derived from the home address/ZIP you provide (for neighborhood benchmarks and local weather). We do not track precise background GPS.
From third parties: payment confirmations from Apple/Google (subscription) and Stripe (marketplace) — we do not receive or store your full card number.
How we use it
To provide the service (AI diagnosis, guides, proactive alerts, warranty tracking, savings planning, the Pro marketplace); to generate anonymized neighborhood benchmarks (your exact bill is never shown to other users — only aggregate averages); to operate and moderate the community; to process payments and subscriptions; to send notifications you’ve enabled; to improve and secure the product and prevent fraud; and to comply with law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to train third-party foundation models beyond what’s needed to return your answer.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run NestScout, each under its own terms: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage); OpenAI (AI processing of your text, photos, and audio); Stripe (marketplace payments and escrow); Apple and Google (subscription billing); RevenueCat (subscription management); LiveKit (live video with Pros); Google (sign-in and search/vision utilities); Open-Meteo (weather from approximate location); and Inngest (background jobs). We may also disclose information to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect rights and safety, or in a business transfer.
Community content is visible to neighbors
Posts, comments, and your display name in the community feed are visible to other users in your neighborhood. You control whether your real name or a username appears. Don’t post anything you want kept private.
Your choices & rights
Access and update your profile in the app. Delete your account any time (Settings → Privacy → Delete my account), which removes your account and associated data; anonymized aggregates that do not identify you may be retained. Turn off notifications in your device settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data — contact privacy@nestscout.io.
Retention & security
We keep your data while your account is active and as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
NestScout is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
AI disclaimer
NestScout’s AI provides guidance that can be wrong and is not a substitute for a licensed professional. See our Terms.
